NMEA 2025
enGULFed in Change: Roux-ted in Resiliency
June 29 – July 3, 2025
Lafayette, Louisiana
SAME (Southern Association of Marine Educators) is excited to host the NMEA 2025 annual conference in Lafayette, Louisiana, June 29-July 3, 2025 —a special event that will bring together hundreds of professional educators dedicated to teaching about our marine, coastal and aquatic environments.
NMEA members are a group of inspired, passionate people who promote the conservation, enjoyment, and wise use of our aquatic resources by teaching others. We look forward to showcasing our beautiful region through inspirational speakers, field adventures and excursions, engaging presentations, institutional collaborations, and community partnerships.
Concurrent Sessions are the heart of NMEA Conference programming. We invite educators, researchers, explorers, writers, artists, conservation managers, and anyone with a passion for the World of Water to submit a proposal to present a concurrent session at the 2025 annual conference. Submission deadline is February 7 for the 2025 conference. Don’t miss out on this chance to share your ideas, programs, research, or resources with an international audience!
The NMEA 2025 Conference committee is busily working on all the logistics! As soon as we know - we'll let you know! Please contact us at nmea2025@marine-ed.org with any questions.
If you are not yet a member of NMEA, sign up here to receive news and updates about the 2025 conference.
