Ocean at Home Resource: Webcam Resource Kits
by Claire Atkinson, Aquarium of the Pacific
Webcam Resource Kits
Parents and teachers can use the materials in the webcam resource kits to inspire kids to develop scientific observation skills and learn about ocean animals using the live webcams installed in the Aquarium's exhibits.
Aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), these inquiry-based kits encourage students to make observations using the Aquarium’s live-streaming animal webcams. The Webcam Resource Kits include lesson plans, short educational videos, worksheets, and web-based activities and resources for K-8th grade students.
Ocean Literacy Principles
The webcam resource kits help students learn about marine life, biodiversity, ocean habitats, conservation, animal adaptations, and scientific discovery.
