NMEA@NSTA 2020

UPDATE—Due to the increasing health concerns and escalating developments that have occurred over the last several days regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, including the state of emergency declared in Massachusetts, the NSTA Board of Directors voted unanimously that a face-to-face meeting in Boston on April 2–5, 2020 will no longer take place. As a result, the 2020 NMEA @ NSTA events including the Share-a-thon and track of sessions will not take place. We encourage you to submit a proposal for next year’s NMEA track of sessions! Abstracts are due by April 15, 2020.

On the first day of the National Science Teachers Association’s (NSTA) National Conference, NMEA sponsors a series of presentations, all in one location and all by NMEA members. The day starts with our Whale of a Share-a-Thon—an opportunity for NMEA chapters to promote their regional organizations and provide formal and informal science educators resources and activities for all grade levels. The Share-a-Thon is followed by a track of sessions by NMEA members that are related to marine and aquatic education. Want to be a part of next year’s NMEA track of sessions? Abstracts are due by April 15, 2020.

The 68th Annual NSTA National Conference on Science Education will be held in Boston, Massachusetts from April 2–5, 2020. Each year, NMEA holds its mid-year board meeting the day before the NSTA annual conference.
