2020 Annual Fund Campaign and Giving Tuesday
On December 1, 2020 people will come together in a variety of ways to celebrate generosity, give back, and show kindness for GivingTuesday. It’s about ordinary people working together to change the world. Help us inspire a wave of good by using your voice to help spread generosity. We believe that all acts of generosity help shape the world we want to live in, and so there are no rules for how to participate in GivingTuesday. Every single act of generosity counts and we encourage you to be creative. Help support our mission, to make known the world of water, both fresh and salt!
Give Dollars
We hope you will join us and consider contributing to the National Marine Educators Association’s 2020 Annual Fund Campaign. The Annual Fund helps to support three important areas of our work: the staff in the National Office who manage our membership and communication, scholarships for the annual conference, and the publication of our peer-reviewed journal, Current: the Journal of Marine Education. Founded in 1976, NMEA has always relied on its members to lead and shape the organization, and in turn, NMEA has been instrumental in elevating the field of marine and aquatic education. Now we ask you to help NMEA to make an even greater impact worldwide. Please consider contributing to our goal of raising $10,000. Any amount is welcome, but we are recommending a donation of $20.20 to help us get through 2020! All gifts to NMEA are tax deductible.

By volunteering, you can give something back, make a difference to the people around you, develop new skills, and learn more about issues affecting our ocean and environment. The right volunteer opportunity can help you reduce stress, find friends, and even advance your career. There are lots of opportunities to become more involved in NMEA…check out our committees page and find out where you fit in!
Give Voice
You’ve got the power and the passion to transform our community. By lending our voice to advocate for the causes and issues we care about, we can all be activists who affect the kind of change that makes our world a better place. Share our mission and our message with your friends and colleagues. Help us connect with a wider audience through your social media channels. Don't forget that you can make some of the most meaningful change within your own local community. Connect with your regional chapter and get involved or offer to host a regional NMEA event.
